11 mos. after purchasing we have one completed room. Don't get me wrong, the family room is close to done and he bathroom is well underway, but the bedroom has all the final paint, trim, crown, etc. and there is nothing left to do in this room besides decorate it. I finally feel OK about posting before and afters and hope to be able to do that for the other rooms soon. We started out with tow 8x10 rooms each with a door and only one room had a baby closet. We knocked down the wall, closed up one door, rewired, insulated, put up new drywall, windows, etc. etc. If it is part of the building process that occurs after framing we did it. We also patched the floor and did carpet instead. The only things we hired out were mudding and texturing drywall and installing carpet the rest we did. Please keep in mind that when I refer to "we" anywhere talking about the house it usually means Eric and his assistant Valerie. The end result is awesome! I love the new bedroom. Bathroom plans are well underway. We are at the mudding texture stage on that and have a deadline of 7/4/10. Trust me it will be very close and may be a week past, but it is going much faster than the bedroom. Can't wait.
