Exciting News. It has been about a week since Chops has had an accident in the house. He has been ringing his bell each time to go out and seems completely potty trained! He seems to have connected the bell to outside, and during his most active times of the day will ring the bell about every ten minutes. We love the pee and poop free house, but taking him out continually some parts of the day is getting a little chilly. He is also sleeping through the night most nights which is a very nice change, and his most newly mastered command is "down." Check out the new pictures of the growing pup.
Other things going on here in North Dakota you ask? Well we have snow, ice, cold, and are making soup frequently. This week we tried meal planning for dinners and tried a very good corn chowder with bacon, potatoes, and cheese. We found a food blog linked from the food network website that had a superbowl recipe contest. From that same site we got a recipe for Buffalo Chicken and Jalapeno Popper dip. We don't really have any big superbowl plans besides making those, and Eric is very excited about them.
House project update is pretty slim to none. We started organizing the basment for the summer garage sale in the works. There is a TON of stuff to get rid of (most of it is not my stuff). Our window trim is up, but needs to have the nails set, filled, and touched up. We need to touch up the colored paint too, and then do the crown molding. We have been procrastinating about the crown because it is something Eric hasn't done before, and I think it really comes down to being very busy with work and enjoying living here like normal people who aren't covered in drywall and paint.
